In 2010, the European Association for the Study of the Liver (EASL) launched the first ever World Liver Day to commemorate the foundation day of EASL in 1966. Since then, April 19 has been celebrated as World Liver Day every year.
World Liver Day is observed annually on April 19th to raise awareness about liver-related diseases and promote liver health worldwide. The day aims to educate people about the importance of liver health, encourage preventive measures against liver diseases, and advocate for early detection and treatment.
The theme for World Liver Day 2024 is “Keep your liver healthy and disease-free”. This year’s theme emphasises the necessity of regular health check-ups to prevent liver-related disorders.
Have a nice day! 💐
