VIEWING COMPETITIVE STRENGTH

GITA WISDOM # 37

योत्स्यमानानवेक्षेऽहं य एतेऽत्र समागताः।
धार्तराष्ट्रस्य दुर्बुद्धेर्युद्धे प्रियचिकीर्षवः॥

An executive has to conduct a field study of the market, before making decisions. That is exemplified by Arjuna’s action, when he asked Krishna to station his chariot in between the two armies, so that he can assess the strength of his opponents. (1.23)

दुर्बुद्धि दुर्योधन का युद्ध में हित चाहने वाले जो-जो ये राजा लोग इस सेना में आए हैं, इन युद्ध करने वालों को मैं देखूँगा

🙏 GURU TEGH BAHADUR 🙏

Martyrdom Day: 24 November

Guru Tegh Bahadur

Guru Tegh Bahadur (1 April 1621 – 24 November 1675) was the ninth of ten Gurus of the Sikh religion. He was born at Amritsar in 1621 and was the youngest son of Guru Hargobind. His term as Guru ran from 1665 to 1675. One hundred and fifteen of his hymns are in Guru Granth Sahib. There are several accounts explaining the motive behind the assassination of Guru Tegh Bahadur on Aurangzeb’s orders.

Sikh tradition states that the guru stood up for the rights of Kashmiri Pandits who approached him to intercede on their behalf with the emperor and ask him to revoke a recently imposed jizya (tax) and was publicly killed in 1675 on the orders of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi for himself refusing Mughal rulers and defying them. Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib in Delhi mark the places of execution and cremation of his body.

His martyrdom is remembered as the Shaheedi Divas of Guru Tegh Bahadur every year on 24 November, according to the Nanakshahi calendar released by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee in 2003.

MOTIVATION

GITA WISDOM # 36

Senior heads of organizations should inspire the younger managers at times of pressures. Accordingly, Bhisma, observing the worried countenance of the king, blows his conch aloud, to invoke confidence in the mind of Duryodhana and to motivate him for the mighty battles ahead. (1.12)

PLANNING

THE HIDDEN SOUL

We plan, we always plan, wanting it to happen the way we want, accomplished like we wish it to be, always perfect, as we plan. Sometimes we even do planning to make a planning in advance. Hoping to, aspiring to, desiring it, aiming it, expecting it, yes, expectations, and here planning if expectations fail, planning if that longing got fulfilled. And our expectations do turn us more anxious and sometimes make us believe as if we don’t deserve it at all or might give us so much confidence, that handling it makes us zombies.

Running a blind race, we are running in a crowd yet alone, it is never-ending, and quitting is never an option. We have plan B if plan A fails, and alphabets till Z but sometimes we all do wonder, what is after that Z, what if everything turns out to be not we want. But…
