Excellent. But it gave me quite a turn at the end. As I began reading, I was focused on the title, so I thought it was ”The Man of the Family” speaking and he who had risen to observe and give credit to his tired wife. The last line flipped it all, my goodness. I see without the final line; it could be either partner speaking though, of course, that was not the poet’s intention; forgive my intrusion.
