LETTER WRITING DAY

World Letter Writing Day was established by Richard Simpkin as a tribute to the joy and excitement he felt when a hand-written letter would arrive in his mailbox.

Letter Writing Day is all about paying tribute to the age-old form of communication; letter writing. Letter Writing Day presents you with a great opportunity to reconnect with people that you may not have spoken to for quite some time now. It also helps you to think before you write.

  1. Thank you for sharing. I never knew there was a letter writing day. There is nothing better than writing and/or receiving a handwritten letter ❤️
Even with all the technology and social media we have these days, there’s so much more that goes into one’s words when they are hand written with a pen and paper 😊

    1. Thank you for sharing such great words of wisdom! I remember my school days when I used to receive letters from my sister sharing her thoughts and asking about my well-being. So much feelings attached in her handwritten words. These are scarce these days. We don’t feel the need of letters now to communicate a message. We should not stop this practice even when we are living in the world of smartphones. Those feelings can’t be replaced.

We still should write at time to our loved ones. 💐🙏🏾

      1. A heart and passion like that of mine with handwritten letters. Refreshing to hear what a handwritten letter means to you, knowing I’m not the only one who loves and appreciates all that goes into writing one (and the feeling you get upon receiving and reading them too). Very well said, thank you for sharing your story.
