LEARNING TO FORGIVE

forgiveness

Forgiveness is giving up the need to punish someone or yourself for an offense. We let go of judging the person who caused the hurt.

Instead of revenge and resentment we choose understanding and kindness. In forgiveness, we don’t forget that the offense occurred, nor do we excuse it. Forgiveness is a choice and act of will to free ourselves.

“To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” – Louis B. Smedes

“The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” – Mahatma Gandhi

“Forgiveness does not change the past, but it does enlarge the future.” – Paul Boese

“Without forgiveness life is governed by… an endless cycle of resentment and retaliation.”– Roberto Assagioli

WORLD POPULATION DAY 2023

The theme for this year is
“Unleashing the Power of gender equality: Uplifting the voices of women and girls to unlock our world’s infinite possibilities”.

Debasis Nayak's avatarB +Ve!!

World Population Day is an annual event, observed on July 11 every year, which seeks to raise awareness of global population issues. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme in 1989. It was inspired by the public interest in Five Billion Day on July 11, 1987, the approximate date on which the world’s population reached five billion people.

World Population Day aims to increase people’s awareness on various population issues such as the importance of family planning, gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights.

The day was suggested by Dr. K.C.Zachariah in which the population reached five billion when he worked as Sr Demographer at World Bank. While press interest and general awareness in the global population surges at the increments of billions of people, the world population increases by 100 million approximately every 14 months. The world population was estimated at…

ALL FOR THE BEST

The truth that hid within your eyes
was clear to all, but I was blind.
Searched deep inside for reasons why,
you would hurt those that treat you kind.

Together we both learned to fly,
a perfect fit, unique design.
I thought this love would never die,
but somehow feelings just declined.

You turned so cold as time sped by,
emotionless, and so confined.
It felt like winter in July,
as happy times tumbled behind.

Picked up my head then held it high,
synching my heart, body, and mind.
Let past hurts leave, I said good bye,
removed great doubts, gained inner pride.

Push myself hard for one more try,
watching as links swiftly align.
Wishes flutter up to the sky,
connections appear well defined.

I pray that all your hopes comply,
knowing my path will be divine.
Powerful source always supplies,
my needs all met, all wants I find.

When we think of the five love languages – Words of Affirmation, Acts of Service, Receiving Gifts, Quality Time, and Physical Touch – we often overlook a crucial sixth love language – Distance.

In an era defined by globalization and technological advancement, distance has become an inevitable part of many relationships. Although it may seem counterintuitive to associate distance with love, it is important to understand that distance can strengthen bonds, deepen connections, and even serve as a catalyst for personal growth. This article will explore the dynamics of the 6th Love Language: Distance and shed light on the untapped potential it holds within relationships.

Distance becomes an unexpected love language when geographical separation is enforced due to work, education, or other circumstances. Instead of perceiving it as a hindrance to love, individuals can embrace distance as a transformative force that sharpens communication skills, cultivates trust, and strengthens emotional bonds…

INTERNATIONAL PEACE AND LOVE DAY

https://nationaltoday.com/international-peace-love-day/

Nature divided the world into continents. There are oceans, forests and deserts that separate regions and inhabitants from one another.

It’s no wonder we created communities, then kingdoms and nations and the so-called United Nations. No wonder that many of them are at war with each other due to insecurity or a desire for more. Animals in the forest do it. Don’t they? Why and how could humans be different?

GS's avatarBe Inspired..!!

In today’s interconnected world, where constant communication and social interaction have become the norm, experiencing isolation can be unsettling.

However, it is important to recognize that feeling isolated is not necessarily a negative experience; it can be an opportunity for introspection, growth, and even enhancing our capacity for empathy. Understanding our shared isolation can foster a deeper sense of connection and shared vulnerability. In this post, we will delve into the significance of embracing our isolation and how it can ultimately help us forge stronger connections with one another.

Exploring Isolation:

Isolation manifests itself in various ways, whether self-imposed or due to circumstances beyond our control. However, regardless of the parameters that define our solitude, we are bound by a collective understanding and experience. By recognizing that this sense of isolation is shared, we can unlock a whole new dimension of compassion and support for one another.
